Cranberry Sewage Rates To Increase

You'll soon be paying more for sewage service. Find out here how much the rate hike will be.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - A sewage rate increase is expected to be approved by township supervisors Thursday and go into effect with the June billing cycle. Township officials estimated the average home will pay an extra $4.50 a month.

Charges for the service are based on each customer’s metered water use plus a monthly minimum charge that varies with the size of the meter. For homes served with ⅝-inch supply lines, the most frequent for residential use, the charge currently is $7 plus consumption fees of $8.48 per 1,000 gallons. The new rate represents a 50 centers per 1,000-gallon increase as well as a $2 month increase in the base.
