Cranberry Shop 'N Save Could Sell Alcohol Soon
The store would join at least three other grocery and convenience stores in the township that sell alcohol.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The Shop ‘n Save on Freedom Road could be the latest supermarket in the township to begin selling alcohol.Township supervisors on Thursday are expected to approve the transfer of a liquor license from a restaurant in Cabot to the grocery store.
Supervisors’ approval is needed because state law requires local governments of liquor license destination communities to agree that the license transfer won’t adversely affect the public’s health and welfare.
Other groceries and convenience stores with liquor licenses in the township are the Giant Eagle in Cranberry Mall, the Sheetz on Freedom Road and the GetGo on Route 228.
