Cranberry Township Community Days: What You Need To Know

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - There are nearly too many activities to list occurring at the 42nd annual Cranberry Township Community Days. The family-friendly event, which runs Thursday through Saturday, will include more than 175 vendors, a carnival, the 5K Community Chase Race, Chainsaw Expo and Village, a six-hole disc golf course, bingo, fireworks and more.

The year’s event at Community Park, which features an all-new layout and 50 percent more booth space, gets underway Thursday at 4 p.m. with the annual car cruise. Here are some other highlights:

• July 12-14

Carnival and booths, Thursday and Friday, 4-11 p.m., Saturday 1-11 p.m.

• All-You-Can-Ride: 1 day ride passes are available to use July 12 or 13 for $20. (Get a discount ticket for $15 until July 5 at Cranberry Township Customer Service. These passes are not valid on July 14.
• Regular Tickets are available to use all three days.

Chainsaw Expo and Village

The largest chainsaw carving event of renowned chainsaw artists in Western Pennsylvania. All sculptures will be available for sale and will be sold three ways:

• On-site, at the Chainsaw Village. There will be dozens of carvings available including the ones made during the event.
• Live auction on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m. on the tennis courts.

• July 14

Community Chase 5K & Kids Fun Run, 7:30 a.m. registration, 8:30 a.m. start

• Runners/Walkers Fees: $25 per person
• Family Discount: 4 or more: $20 per person
• Group Discount: 7 or more: $20 per person

Rotary 3rd Annual Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser, 6 p.m. off of Ernie Mashuda Drive.

• $10 per golf ball ticket (only 1,000 tickets will be sold)
• $1000 Prize for the Ball Closest to the target.
• $500 Prize for the Ball Next Closest to the target.
• 2-$250 each, for the ball Farthest from the target.

Fireworks display, 9:45 p.m.

Five-dollar voluntary donations will be collected in the parking areas. The proceeds will go toward the $750,000 in improvements the Cranberry Township Community Chest has planned in the coming year for the Cranberry Library.
