CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The farmhouse is staying, but that will be one of the few constants in the next few months on the former Meeder Farm at the intersection of Route 19 and Rochester Road. Groundbreaking will occur Friday on Charter Homes’ Meeder development on the 57-acre property.

The project, which Charter Homes characterizes as a “multi-generational neighborhood for people of all ages, living in homes of all types, all on the same street,” will include 637 living units as well as spaces for small retail and office use, together with public squares, greens, a park and gathering places connected by walkways.

The project’s first phase will include 26,000 square feet of retail space, 100 townhouse units, 28 apartment units and 21 single-family residential lots.
