Freedom Road Intersection in Cranberry About to Change

Traffic at Cranberry intersection to be restricted late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

Traffic will be restricted on Freedom Road between Route 19 and Connector Street in Cranberry from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, according to TribLive.com.

Police and flaggers will control the traffic in the area while construction in the area is completed, TribLive reports. The roadwork is a part of a project to improve Freedom Road, Route 19 and Route 228. The Freedom Road intersection has been upgraded and now includes dual lefts, dual through lanes and a right turn lane in each direction, according to an announcement on Cranberry Township’s website.

The township expects the traffic signal to be activated and fully operational by 6 a.m. Thursday, completing the $3.6 million improvement project.
