Graham Park SportsCourts Opening Date Set

The $1.2 million project will greatly expand the park's competitive sports options.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The much-anticipated Cranberry Township Community Chest SportsCourts in Graham Park now has an official opening date: April 14.

Construction of the $1.6 million, which includes $125,000 in Community Chest funding, was completed in November. Planting and landscaping work will begin in March, enabling the official dedication to occur the following month.

The project includes eight pickleball courts, three bocce courts, four horseshoe ranges, two tennis courts and two basketball courts. An open area adjacent to the court complex is available for temporary games such as cornhole, and a seven-acre field designated for a future community garden or orchard, lies directly to the east.

Additionally, Graham Park Drive has been realigned enable expansion of the Miracle League parking area just north of the SportCourts. A new building combining restrooms and storage is also completed, and an extension of the park’s walking trail now links the court area to Brush Creek trail.

Project manager Lorin Meeder said the SportCourts signs, plaques, nets and benches have been obtained but won’t be installed until spring.
