Latrobe Defeats Seneca Valley Softball Team in WPIAL Final

senior Lauren Davies hit a two-run homer in the last inning, but Latrobe held on for a 5-3 victory in the WPIAL Class AAAA Softball Championship Thursday night at California University's Lilly Field.

Latrobe starting pitcher Alexa Larkin, a Pitt recruit, allowed only two hits to earn the victory. Both teams advanced to the PIAA Softball Playoffs, which begin next week.
