CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - School safety is a topic garnering considerable attention in light of last week’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida and Niche.com has just released its listing of the safest school districts in Pennsylvania.

Only two districts in southwestern Pennsylvania cracked the top 10 in the rankings. One of them was Seneca Valley, which was ranked the 8th-safest district. South Fayette in Allegheny County was ranked the 2nd-safest.

Niche.com, which analyzes data for schools and communities across the country, relied on data from the U.S. Department of Education and reviews from students and parents to determine the rankings.
