• 25 years later, Cranberry Twp. carries on its 9/11 memorial tradition (butlereagle.com) — Cranberry Township's Volunteer Fire Company is keeping its 9/11 remembrance tradition strong 25 years after the attacks, with taps played six times and a large flag flying from a ladder truck. Residents can visit the township's striking memorial any time, featuring a 900-pound steel beam and detailed stone displays that help the Cranberry community reflect on the lives lost.
