SV's Lady Raiders topple the North Hills Indians, remain undefeated in Section 2.
Thursday's inclement weather may have caused a slight delay of game and some changes in protocol, but fans were prepared to wait as long as necessary to witness the matchup between the 6-1-0 Seneca Valley Raiders girls soccer team and the 7-0-0 Lady Indians of North Hills.
With only one loss to date Seneca Valley also logged . North Hills had just defeated the Pine-Richland Lady Rams, last year's section champs.
Thursday's matchup to determine who would remain undefeated in Section Two.

The Raiders dominated the action from the start. North Hills was heavy on defense and players were able to stop several SV scoring opportunities early in the game. With 18:40 left in the half, SV forward Morgan Williams broke through the Indian back line and put the Lady Raiders on the board.
Both teams would battle it out in the midfield, but Seneca Valley would go into the second half with a 1-0 advantage.

The Indians stepped up their offensive attempts in the second half, but the Raiders defense countered their efforts. The Raiders continued to gain momentum. Midway through the half, senior midfielder Erica McGoogan scored the second Raider goal of the evening. Five minutes later, Rachel Leake executed a header off a corner kick by teammate Melissa Lynskey.
Final score: 3-0
