Police: Connoquenessing Man Shoots, Kills Grandson
Austin Riddell was 19 years old. State police say he was arguing with his grandfather in the home they shared.
A 76-year-old Connoquenessing man is in Butler County Prison without bond Saturday after police charged him with killing his 19-year-old grandson.
Larry Karnes, of Sunset Drive, was involved in a verbal altercation with Austin Riddell at their home Friday before fatally shooting him in the chest with a .22 caliber rifle, according to state police at Butler.
Riddell was pronounced dead inside the home, which they shared, police said.

Karnes is charged with criminal homicide. He was arraigned before District Judge Kevin O'Donnell.
