Rowan Elementary 'Elves' to Entertain Sherwood Oaks Retirees

The annual program takes place Tuesday.

kindergarten students on Tuesday will visit the in Cranberry to present their annual holiday program.Β 

This year’s event will take place at 1:15 p.m. in the Sherwood Oaks auditorium.Β 

Along with teachers Lucy Balzer, Michelle Follett and Jana Greco, kindergarteners from the afternoon classes have practiced several weeks for the performance.

This year’s show will feature student elves. Dressed as Santa’s helpers, kindergartners will recite and sing Christmas poems and songs.Β 

β€œIt is always a heart-warming experience to celebrate the holiday with the folks at Sherwood Oaks,” Follet said.

Mark D. Bondi, president and CEO of Sherwood Oaks, said residents are happy to cheer on the kindergartners.

β€œThe residents are delighted when the students visit and share the Christmas spirit,” he said. β€œWe look forward to seeing them every year, and really appreciate the work that the teachers have put into the program.”
