Seneca Valley Girls Soccer Team Triumphs over Pine-Richland
The Raiders shut out the Rams a second time.
The Seneca Valley girls soccer team and the Pine-Richland Rams on Wednesday met for a second time this season. And while the Rams came ready to avenge t a few weeks ago, it was not meant to be.
The Raiders shut out the Rams 2-0.
Though plagued by injuries, Pine-Richland controlled most of the action in the midfield through the first half. Their defensive strategy forced Seneca Valley to take shots from the 20-yard line and beyond. Both keepers got a workout, but the nets remained motionless. The score at the end of the first half was 0-0.

Ten minutes into the half, senior midfielder Sarah Stevens scored the first Raider goal of the game on a corner kick by junior Morgan Williams. Despite the tight Ram defense and two on one -- and sometimes three on one -- coverage, the duo managed to put another point on the board 12 minutes later.
Wednesday's win boosted the Raiders overall record to 10-1-0.
