Champs Again: The Seneca Valley Boys Soccer Team Wins Over Shaler

The Raiders win the Section 2 championship for second year in a row. They have been named champions three out of the last four years.

With a 3-1 win over the Shaler Titans on Tuesday, the Seneca Valley boys soccer team claimed it’s second straight WPIAL AAA-Section 2 Championship.

The Raiders raced out to an early 1-0 lead after a goal by Ryan Vilella. With a well-paced pass from Stephen McConahy, SV's Josh Allman tucked the ball into a narrow opening to make it 2-0 at the half.

Kyle Findlay finished off Seneca Valley's scoring on an assist from Mike Chowansky. Despite having several ill starters, the Raiders managed to hold off a few late runs at the net by the Titans.
