Video: Students at Goddard School Become Environmentalists for Earth Hour.
Cranberry preschool holds a week of environmentally-friendly activities and lesson plans leading up to its 'Stepping Up for the Environment' event today
Saturday marks the World Wildlife Fund’s third Earth Hour, where, starting at 8:30 p.m., millions of people around the globe will turn off their lights for one hour in an effort to conserve energy.
To celebrate this event, students at the Goddard School in Cranberry spent the week learning about recycling and participating in fun, environmentally-friendly lessons and crafts.
At 10 a.m. today, the school will turn off non-essential lighting for one hour. Owner Dina Speranza's hope is that teaching the students about conservation will encourage a lifetime of eco-friendly living.
