Crimone Reflects on KO Baseball Season, Looks Forward to Next Year
After the program's best-ever season, coach Scott Crimone said he's proud of his team and looking forward next season.

A playoff lossβespecially during a teamβs most successful season of all timeβis nothing to be upset about.
The 2012-13 Keystone Oaks Golden Eagle baseball team made it further than any team in the organizationβs 48-year history, a feat coach Scott Crimone is impressive in itself.
βThis was the most successful of all time, so I think thatβs the biggest point there,β he said. βIt was a testament to what 18 men can do when they set their mind to something.βΒ

The team would have loved to win at the state level and the loss against Upper Moreland was heartbreaking, but Crimone said that hasnβt stopped him from being overwhelmingly proud of his team.
βItβs actually hard to put into words,β he said. βThese boys never waivered. They never let anything bother them. They were extremely coachable, and a group of good young men. Itβs been an extreme pleasure to work with them.β

Crimone said that with nine seniors graduating this year, next year will be a rebuilding season for the team. Six players are returning next season and members of the junior varsity team are moving up, and Crimone said heβs looking at freshmen talent for next year as well.
βIt will be a different-looking lineup,β Crimone said. βSix are coming back, but we need a big youth movement. It will be really interesting to look at some of the freshmen talent. Thereβs also a couple guys moving up from JV who will be called upon to make a big impact, so I think theyβre really going to lead the way and keep the torch lit.β
