• Mat Davis becomes Pittsburgh's new fire chief (wtae.com) — Dormont gets a nod in Pittsburgh's leadership shakeup, as new city fire chief Mat Davis first launched his firefighting career at the Dormont Fire Department back in 2014. Davis, who later joined Pittsburgh's Bureau of Fire and has served as acting chief since June, was officially appointed chief while the mayor also named new top budget and technology officials.
