Plane Collides With Parked Aircraft At Doylestown Airport

The incident happened around 12:20 p.m. when one of the airplanes left the runway and struck a parked aircraft on the field.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Several people were injured early Monday afternoon when a small plane collided with a parked aircraft at the Doylestown Airport on Old Easton Road, according to Buckingham Township Police.

First responders were dispatched to Doylestown Airport at approximately 12:21 p.m. for the report of a single-engine plane crash off the runway. Upon arrival, all occupants of the aircraft were out of the plane.

The occupants on board sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for evaluation, police said.

According to the Buckingham Township Police, preliminary findings indicate that the plane was taking off, left the runway, and hit an unoccupied plane before coming to rest.

According to investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the aircraft "experienced a departure stall while performing a go-around" and struck another aircraft that was parked on the ramp.

The Doylestown Fire Company and the Midway Fire Company responded to the crash along with the Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services and the Buckingham Township Police Department.
