3 Bucks Co. Athletes Headed To Winter Olympics

Three athletes — 2 hockey players and a bobsledder — from Bucks County are headed to PyeongChang to compete in the Winter Olympics.

Nearly 240 American participants from 16 sports will descend upon PyeongChang, South Korea next month to represent the United States in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Bucks County should be proud: We have three natives competing.

The three Bucks County residents are among nine from Pennsylvania.

Local participants include Jamie Greubel Poser, a bobsledder from Newtown. She competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal in Sochi. According to her biography, Greubel Poser competed in heptathlon and pentathlon at Cornell University. Her college track teammates encouraged her to try the bobsled, and the rest is history.
