3-Building Retail, Residential Development Proposed In Doylestown
Here's what is proposed for the former Intelligencer building on N. Broad:

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A mixed-use development with more than 200 apartments and 10,000-square feet of retail space could replace the former Intelligencer building on N. Broad Street in Doylestown Borough.
The plans for the site were presented to the borough's zoning and planning committee earlier this month, and the renderings of the proposal were recently shared with Patch by borough officials.
The plans propose three buildings that would have 220 apartments plus the retail space. The site is located at 333 N. Broad Street.

The Intelligencer newspaper reported the building's owners were starting preparations to demolish the building.
However, for the proposed project to come to fruition, zoning relief would be required. Borough officials indicated in The Intelligencer report that such relief likely wouldn't be problematic as the plans fit the concept for that site in the borough's comprehensive plan.

The Intelligencer, which was sold to GateHouse Media in 2017, stopped using the building for news operations in May, the publication reported at the time.
