5 Fun Things To Do In Bucks County This Weekend
Highlighting the long Labor Day weekend is the inaugural Bucks County Renaissance Faire and the return of the Polish-American Festival.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — This weekend we’re celebrating the official end of summer with the three-day Labor Day weekend.
If you’re not headed to the shore or to the mountains, there’s plenty to do right here in Bucks County with a Staycation.
New this year is the inaugural Bucks County Renaissance Faire taking place Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the Tile Works in Doylestown.

If you’re hungry for some delicious Polish food, the annual Polish-American Family Festival and Country Fair returns this weekend and next weekend at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa in New Britain.

Polish Festival Opens Labor Day Weekend In Bucks
The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa will host its 58th Annual Polish-American Family Festival and Country Fair for the next two weekends. The celebration of food, entertainment and fun will take place from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Aug. 31, Sept. 1 and 2 (Labor Day Weekend) and Sept. 7 and 8 at 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown 18901. The public is invited to celebrate traditional Polish culture with live entertainment, arts and crafts, re-enactments, ethnic foods, midway rides and more. Attracting more than 25,000 visitors a year, the festival is the region’s largest Polish American festival. Renaissance Faire Bringing 3 Days Of Legendary Fun To Bucks
The inaugural Bucks County Renaissance Faire will transform the grounds of the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works into a land of imagination and whimsy this weekend.The three-day interactive event, managed by Found Artifact Entertainment LLC, debuts over the long Labor Day holiday weekend bringing the sights and sounds of medieval times to Doylestown. The fair unfolds on Saturday, Aug. 31, Sunday, Sept. 1 and Monday, Sept. 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for three days of legendary fun on the grounds of the Tile Works at 130 E. Swamp Road in Doylestown. From captivating performances on multiple stages to an artisan marketplace bustling with unique treasures from more than 60 craft vendors, the Faire will offer something for everyone, said Found Artifact co-founder Erin Van Yuga, a New Hope resident who had the vision of bringing the faire to Bucks County. Sesame Place Celebrating Labor Day Weekend
Sesame Place Philadelphia will celebrate the Labor Day weekend with fireworks on Sunday night.The amusement park at 100 Sesame Road in Langhorne will celebrate the unofficial end of summer with a Back-to-School bash, Labor Day fireworks, and a free admission offer for first responders. Sesame Place is pulling out all the stops to make summer unforgettable before it slips away. The park invites guests to celebrate with exciting events and exclusive offers to gear up for back-to-school season. Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, celebrates Labor Day Weekend with its Summer unWINEd Concert by The Loop and fireworks on Saturday, August 31 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Sway to live music performances while enjoying tasty food and drinks in the open air. Bring the whole family and keep the kiddos busy with loads of activities. Gates open at 5:30 with the music starting at 6:30 pm. Food and drink vendors will be available on-site. With your admission, you also gain access to the Adventure Farm area, featuring more than 40 family-friendly activities. The cost is $14.99 per person, which includes one free sunflower to take home, all-day access to the sunflower fields and the Adventure Farm area (40+ fun activities) and a hayride to the sunflower fields offered hourly.
