6 Fun Things To Do This Weekend In Bucks County
From art shows to musical performances, the first full weekend in March is packed with lots to see and do around Bucks County.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The first full weekend in March is brimming with exciting things to do, including several art shows featuring works never shown before, a peace jam chock full of familiar tunes, a symphony performance spotlighting the "exuberance of youth," and the chance to hear an "intense string sensation" perform right here in Bucks County.

Spotlight Shines On Phillips’ Mill Artists
The wildly popular Mill Members Art Show & Sale returns to Phillips’ Mill for two weekends in March. The show will be open from 1 until 5 p.m. on two weekends, March 7 and 8 and again on March 14 and 15. By popular demand, the show has been extended to include Friday, March 13, from 1 to 7 p.m. The Members Show features traditional paintings, drawings, printmaking, sculpture, photography, and fine crafts such as ceramics, woodworking and textiles. None of the works in this exhibition has been shown at the Mill before.

The Little Mermaid' Makes A Splash
In one of its most ambitious and enchanting productions to date, the Council Rock High School South’s Golden Wings Theatre Company will dive under the sea with Disney's "The Little Mermaid: The Musical." "The company has worked tirelessly to create a vibrant, heartfelt production worthy of professional stages," said director Lori Naglak. "With a live orchestra, breathtaking vocals and dazzling choreography, this show will be a magical experience for audiences of all ages." Newtown Church Hosting Peace Jam
The Newtown Presbyterian Church will host a free narrated concert event titled "Peace Jam: Faith, Hope and Love in Popular Music" on Sunday, March 8. The concert is scheduled from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the church, located at 25 North Chancellor Street in Newtown. The event is free, but donations are welcome in support of local food pantries. "When there is so much division and bitterness, we must focus on that which unites us," event organizers said. "Peace Jam aims to foster community connection through music, peace, and narration."

AOY Showcases New Members' Work
The AOY Art Center in Lower Makefield will present its 2026 New Members Exhibition, showcasing artists who have recently joined the center. The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday from 6–8 p.m., inviting the public to meet the artists and view the collection. The show will continue to be on viewed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from March 7 through March 22, between Noon and 5 p.m. The exhibition is hosted at AOY Art Center, located at 949 Mirror Lake Road in Lower Makefield, on the historic Patterson Farm campus.

International Guitar Sensation On Stage
Laura Snowden, a British-French guitarist and composer known for her intense and poised performances, graces the stage at 3 p.m. on Saurday, March 7 at the Zlock Performing Arts Center on the campus of the Bucks County Community College in Newtown. Snowden’s eclectic musical output has ranged from playing guitar solos on Lorne Balfe's soundtrack for the Marvel film “Black Widow,” to performing Lisa Streich’s guitar concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Symphony Performs 'Exuberance Of Youth'
The Warminster Symphony Orchestra will perform "The Exuberance of Youth" on Saturday night. The performance from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Saturday at the William Tennent High School auditorium on Centennial Road will feature the 2025 winner of its Young Artist Competition, children’s division, Mingze Feng. The 13-year-old will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major. Also featuring favorites by Bizet and Schubert.
