6 Trucks Taken Off The Road During Inspection Detail In New Britain Township

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Six commercial vehicles, including a hazmat tanker, and four drivers were taken of the road during an inspection detail on Wednesday in New Britain Township.

The Central Bucks Motor Carrier Safety Enforcement team was in the township to inspect commercial motor vehicles along the U.S. 202 business corridor, County Lane Road, Bristol Road, and Upper State Road.

The detail produced the following results:

• 11 commercial vehicles were inspected, 3 had no violations, 8 were found with violations, and 64 total violations were discovered, including 22 out-of-service violations.
• 6 commercial vehicles wee placed out-of-service for brake violations and load securement violations, including a hazmat tanker.
• 4 drivers were placed out-of-service for driving without a valid driver's license and/or valid medical certification.
• 3 commercial vehicles were found operating on a weight/size restricted roadway.
• 2 commercial vehicles were found operating overweight
• 18 traffic citations were issued
• 46 warnings were issued.
