7 Changes To The Doylestown Business Scene To Know About

DOYLESTOWN, PA — There's a lot going on when it comes to the local business scene in Doylestown.

A handful of eateries and restaurants have announced openings, and the new Planet Fitness is now open as well. There was also a closure recently announced: the Doylestown Food Market will be going out of business at the end of August.

Here are seven changes to the Doylestown business scene to know about:

1. New Ramen Restaurant Coming

Rakkii Ramen will be opening on E. State Street in Doylestown. An early September opening is planned, business representative Kevin Patton told Patch. "We have been working everyday along with family and friends to try and get to the finish line," he said. MORE.

2. Popular Made-To-Order Donut Shop Opening Near Kmart

Factory Donuts, which has a location in Philadelphia, is opening in Doylestown's Cross Keys Place Shopping Center (home to Kmart). The store is opening next to Edible Arrangements. The 1,400 square-foot store is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2019, according to Waters Retail Group, the leasing company. MORE.

3. Doylestown Food Market Closing For Good

The Doylestown Food Market will close its doors for good on Aug. 31, the store announced last week. The closure is due to a lack of profitability following its transition from a co-op in February 2018, according to a letter sent to the store's mailing list. MORE.

4. Doylestown McDonald's Sets Reopening Date

The Doylestown McDonald's has set its reopening date after a nearly year-long closure due to a fire. The fast food restaurant, located at 561 N. Main Street, will reopen Sept. 17. MORE.

5. Best Of Philly Wine Bar/Restaurant Opening Doylestown Location

A chic Mediterranean restaurant that last year was named the area's best wine bar by Philadelphia Magazine is opening a Doylestown location. Tredici restaurant, by the Zavino hospitality group, will be coming to a new building on the corner of Broad Street and Veterans Lane in Doylestown Borough. MORE.

6. Planet Fitness Now Open In Doylestown

Planet Fitness has opened its location in the Doylestown Shopping Center, in the spot formerly occupied by Annie Sez. MORE.

7. Cat Cafe Opens In Doylestown

MeWow cat cafe opened Sunday, Aug. 4. The cafe offers residents a chance to eat desserts, drink coffee, and cuddle cats that need homes. MORE.
