Police asked that motorists be especially careful as drivers adjust to the change. The department said the new traffic pattern may take time to get used to and urged drivers to proceed carefully through the intersection.
At a four-way stop, the first vehicle to come to a complete stop at the intersection has the right-of-way and proceeds first. If two or more vehicles stop simultaneously, the driver on the left must yield to the driver on the right.
