DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — From Main Street to Pine Street, East State Street was brimming with the colors of pride on Saturday.

Hundreds showed up for the seventh annual Pride Block Party organized by Discover Doylestown and Doylestown Pride.

The day featured Guest Host Diva Divine Monroe with special guests: Lolly Hopwood, SUNRYZE, Asia Monroe, Lexi Pro, Victoria Cortez, and Jenny Lee Stern.

As Hopwood performed, volunteers raised a rainbow parachute into the air as kids scampered underneath to collect stuffed animals. She then joined Diva Divine Moore in singing an old Sesame Street favorite, “I’ve Got 2,” a song about how “we are all the same.”

The block party is part of a month long series of events celebrating pride in Doylestown. The multi-day event also featured a series of film screenings, music events, and various pop-up celebrations throughout the community.

Doylestown Pride Month concludes with a Queer Open Mic Night on June 24 at the Tileworks, a Loud and Proud Showcase on June 24 at Maxwells, and a film screening on June 25 of “To Wong Foo” at the County Theatre.Click here for more details.
