UPDATE: All-Clear at Penn State After 'Suspicious Package' Investigation
Bomb technicians from Pennsylvania State Police have responded to Penn State's main campus in State College, authorities confirm.

Penn State University Police have issued an all-clear after an investigation into a suspicious package found earlier in the day on the main campus in State College.
“Bomb technicians from Penn State and the Pennsylvania State Police determined that the package was empty. Police say there was never any danger and the area has been reopened. Police are continuing their investigation,” Penn State said in a statement.

Bomb technicians from Pennsylvania State Police have responded to Penn State’s main campus in State College for an investigation into a suspicious package, authorities said.
The package was found near Medlar Field around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Penn State announced in a statement.

A bomb technician from Penn State Police and Public Safety is also there, along with University Police, Alpha Fire Company, University EMS, Centre Life Link and the State College Police.
Penn State announced nearby roads were closed due to the investigation. The immediate area has been evacuated and “the situation is under control,” Penn State officials said in a statement.
A grounds crew working in the area of the MorningStar Home, located south of Medlar Field at Lubrano Park along Porter Road, reported the package to police. The Penn State community was alerted immediately via PSUAlert, school officials said.
