Breslin Announces Candidacy In Bucks County's 143rd House Race

TINICUM TOWNSHIP, PA — Tinicum Township Supervisor Eleanor Breslin has announced her candidacy for state representative in the 143rd House District race in Bucks County.

Breslin, who lives in Tinicum with her husband and three children, said her unique ability to bring people together and work across the aisle recently earned her the distinction of being elected the first woman to lead the township's board of supervisors.

Breslin said her 20 year legal career reflects her commitment to justice, public interest and public service. She currently "champions the cause" of a statewide, nonprofit health advocacy organization working to protect the right to breathe clean air. She also does extensive pro bono work, representing young women seeking medical care at the Allentown Women's Center.

Pointing to her years of public service, local leadership and community advocacy, Breslin said she would be "the visible and accessible representative the 143rd District sorely needs." And in Harrisburg, she said she would be "a champion for public education and for reproductive freedom" and "not sit idly, but will work to make progress on the issues that matter" to her constituents.

"Every resident should have a representative who is present and engaged," said Breslin. "I am committed to ensuring our local voices are heard in Harrisburg and our needs are effectively addressed. I will fight tirelessly to provide the services our community deserves."

The 143d legislative district includes Bedminster Township, Dublin Borough, Hilltown Township, New Britain Township (District East and District West), Perkasie, Plumstead Township, Sellersville, Silverdale and Tinicum Township.
