Brother Helped ID Accused Temple Cop Killer From Buckingham: Reports
Charging documents for Miles Pfeffer show his brother was one of the two others who helped police identify the teen in Saturday's killing.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — A family member of accused Temple Police killer Miles Pfeffer was instrumental in his capture, according to reports.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Pfeffer's brother was one of the two people who identified him to police during their investigation into Officer Christopher Fitzgerald's shooting death.
Charging documents for Pfeffer — 18, of Bucks County — show his brother and another person were interviewed by authorities, and during the interview positively identified Pfeffer in video footage, according to Action News.

Authorities said this led them to bring Pfeffer into custody at about 6 a.m. Sunday, less than 24 hours after Fitzgerald's death.
The two were stopped by a Philadelphia Police officer who heard Fitzgerald's radio call saying he was chasing three suspects after trying to stop them while on patrol.

The officer detained the two, who were taken to the police homicide unit, where they were interviewed.
Authorities Tuesday said Fitzgerald chased Pfeffer and two others, but the two other broke off.
He caught up to Pfeffer on the 1700 block of Montgomery Avenue, where he ordered him to stop, police said.
There, police said Fitzgerald and Pfeffer got into a struggle, and video from the area captured the sound of three gunshots.
Police said Pfeffer was about to run off, but went back to Fitzgerald and tried to take his gun and went through his pockets.

Pfeffer then carjacked someone and drove off, according to police. The vehicle was later found.
After Pfeffer was taken into custody Sunday — he was detained using Fitzgerald's department-issued handcuffs — he spoke with authorities, giving them enough information to file murder and related charges against him.
Pfeffer is being held without bail.
