Teens Shot Near Memorial For Slain Temple Police Officer

Two teens were shot when someone opened fire from a vehicle Tuesday evening in the area of a memorial for the late Christopher Fitzgerald.

PHILADELPHIA — A shooting near the memorial for slain Temple Police Officer Christopher Fitzgerald left two teenagers hurt Tuesday.

The shooting occurred at about 3:28 p.m. at Uber Street and Montgomery Avenue, according to Philadelphia Police.

Offender: Black male, unknown age, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing all black clothing and a mask.

Vehicle Information: Dark Grey Nissan Maxima with a sunroof and spoiler on the back. The vehicle also has a missing hubcap on the rear driver’s side tire.

Police said shots were fired from dark grey Nissan Maxima with a sunroof, spoiler on the back, and a missing hubcap on the rear driver’s side tire.

The vehicle was heading east on Montgomery Avenue.

One of the victims, a 17-year-old boy, was shot twice in each leg, police said.

A 13-year-old girl was also shot in the right forearm, police said.

The boy is in critical condition while the girl is stable, according to police.

No arrests have been made, and no weapon was found.

Two people in the vehicle were wearing dark clothing and masks over their faces, police said.

The gunman was described as a Black man of an unknown age, standing about 6 feet tall.
