Buckingham Promotes 2 Officers, Swears In New Member

Two officers were promoted and another was sworn in during this week's board of supervisors meeting.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Buckingham Township Police Department this week welcomed a new member to its ranks and announced the promotion of two of its officers.

During a meeting of the board of supervisors, Corporal Kevin Myslinski was promoted to sergeant, and Officer Rob Ridolfi was promoted to corporal.

Myslinski was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. He graduated from Archbishop Ryan Catholic High School in 2008. He then attended St. Joseph's University, earning his bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2012.

In 2014, he joined the Temple University Police Department and served there for six years before joining Buckingham. Two years after joining Buckingham, he earned the rank of corporal. He has served as a field training officer, department quartermaster, and a bike patrol member. He has also worked with the Bucks County Drug Task Force.

Ridolfi grew up in Doylestown. He graduated from West Chester University in 2015. He attended the Philadelphia Police Academy and was hired by the Philadelphia Police Department in December 2020, and was assigned duty in Kensington. In 2022, he joined the Buckingham Police Department, where he has served the department as a field training officer and as an officer in charge.

District Judge Timothy Barton was on hand to make it official, administering the oath to both officers.

"We are proud to recognize the hard work, commitment, and dedication of these officers who have consistently shown their passion for serving our community," said Chief David Scirrotto.

In addition, Michael Brown was sworn in as the township's newest police officer. He comes to Buckingham from the Philadelphia Police Department, where he has worked for the past seven years.

During his time in Philadelphia, he served as a field training officer for his squad. He was also trained in crisis intervention and was among the officers who responded to a plane crash in Northeast Philadelphia.

He was born and raised in Philadelphia and is a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Holy Family University.
