Bucks Corrections Officer Wanted For Murder Arrested Over Weekend

Doylestown Township Police and the U.S. Marshal's Service took the officer into custody on Saturday.

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Bucks County corrections officer wanted for murder in New York State was arrested on Saturday at the Bucks County Correctional Center in Doylestown Township.

Aaron A. Mayers was taken into custody without incident by the U.S . Marshal's Service and the Doylestown Township Police Department. He was transported to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department where he was processed.

The 25-year-old Mayers is wanted out of New York State on a second degree murder charge, according to court documents.

Mayers was taken before District Judge Stacy Wertman on a charge of arrest prior to requisition. The judge denied bail for Mayers and sent him to the Montgomery County Prison pending extradition back to New York State.
