Bucks County Issues Year's First 'Code Blue' Ahead Of Frigid Weekend Weather
The code blue is in place from Friday through Tuesday. Lows in the teens are expected on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Bucks County has issued the year's first "code blue" ahead of what is expected to be a frigid winter weekend. Lows in the teens are expected on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The Code Blue declaration will being at 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6 and go through 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
County officials have notified the on-call churches of the code blue.

The on-call churches include: Woodside Church in Yardley, Trinity Episcopal Church in Buckingham and Quakertown Masonic Lodge. The locations will activate their emergency shelters and volunteers will coordinate transportation, temporary shelter, food and other necessities.
County residents are urged to check on their elderly neighbors during this period of frigid weather. Caution also should be taken with pets during extremely cold temperatures.
