The Butterfly Project performance at Temple Judea

A moving play performed by young people based on the book I Never Saw Another Butterfly

On Sunday, May 3 at 3:00 pm, Temple Judea of Bucks County will host the final performance of this critically acclaimed production of I Never Saw Another Butterfly staged by the Wolf Performing Art Center’s The Butterfly Project. The play has been presented by young performers at more than 50 venues including the National Museum of American Jewish History and the former site of the Terezin Concentration Camp. I Never Saw Another Butterfly, written by Celeste Raspanti and based on a book by the same name, honors the memories of the more than 16,000 children who passed through Terezin camp during the Holocaust. Fewer than 100 of the children survived, however the poetry and artwork they left behind has been preserved in the book and is the basis for the play.

The play will be followed by a talk-back session in which the audience can meet the actors and learn more about the history of the play. The performance is suitable for adults and children in sixth grade or older.

The performance is free but space is limited and tickets are required. For tickets and more information, contact the Temple Judea office at 215.348.5022 or email judea@templejudea.org
