Teens Warned Against Playing "Senior Assassin" Game By Buckingham Police
Police said the game can lead to misunderstandings that could result in someone getting hurt or killed.
BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Buckingham Township Police Department is warning students against participating in a widespread high-school tradition known as “senior assassin.”
"As we approach graduation season, our department is aware of the 'Senior Assassin' game being played by high school seniors in our community. For us, this sometimes means we are responding to 911 calls involving 'armed subjects' in the community," police said.
Senior Assassin is a game that involves high school students “stalking” and “shooting” each other with water guns in an attempt to be the last senior standing.

"We have heard that some students are using Nerf guns or silly string. Think of this game as 'hide and seek'. While often intended as harmless fun, this activity can create serious safety concerns for our community," police said.
Police said while they do not condone the game, they recommend that students:

- Do not use realistic-looking weapons.
- Use clearly identifiable, brightly colored water guns.
- Do not wear masks or behave in ways that would make a reasonable person to believe you are a threat.
- Avoid trespassing on private property or playing in public spaces, especially at night.
- Immediately comply with any police officer’s instructions and stop playing if instructed to do so.
