Cat Shot Dead, Left On Side Of Road In Plumstead: Police

Investigators are trying to track down the person behind this act of animal cruelty in Plumstead Township.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA -- Someone shot a domesticated cat and left its body on the side of the road in Plumstead Township, police said. Investigators are now trying to track down the person behind the act of animal cruelty.

Police said they were called to the 6800 block of Tohickon Hill Road on Tuesday, Jan. 16, to investigate an animal cruelty incident. Officers who arrived at the scene located a deceased domesticated cat. The cat, a dark-colored female, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police have released a photo of the cat. Anyone with information about the cat or its death should contact Officer Robert Lawn at 215-766-8741. You can also leave an anonymous tip via the CrimeWatch website.(Refer to case # 2018-0402.)

Police said the incident is not related to the shots fired and the subsequent arrest that happened the day before on Bradshaw Road.
