CB West Teacher Selected for National History Day Project

National History Day is a non-profit education organization based in Maryland.

A Central Bucks School District teacher is one of 18 in the country selected to participate in a special program offered through National History Day. Brian Weaver, a teacher at Central Bucks West, was selected for the program.

He will attend a workshop later this month in Arlington, Va., according to information from the district. Then, this summer he and the others selected will study World War II in Northern Europe through travel to England, France, the Netherlands and Belgium.

The research will assist them in developing lesson materials for a website called Understanding Sacrifice.

The website will be revealed in November 2015, school officials said.
