DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks School Board on Tuesday will consider appointing its superintendent to a five-year term along with a $90,000 raise.

Dr. Abram Lucabaugh was hired by the school board as superintendent in September 2021 at an annual base salary of $225,000 with two percent performance raises in the first two years. He is two years into his 5-year contract with the district.

Under the terms of the new agreement, the superintendent would be paid a base salary of $315,000, which is $90,000 more than what he is currently making.

In addition, provided that the superintendent receives an evaluation rating of at least "proficient" for the proceeding school year, he will receive a minimum increase of 2.5 percent during the first two years of the agreement and 3 percent during the remaining years of the contract.

If approved, Lucabaugh would be among the highest-paid superintendents in Pennsylvania.

In related actions, the board will also consider the approval of 5-year employment agreements with Alyssa Marton, the district director of pupil services, and Tara B.G. Houser, the district's chief operating officer.

Also on the agenda is the district's participation in a social media class action lawsuit.
