Doylestown's Own Ceramic Animal Headlines Concerts At The Commons

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Doylestown's own Ceramic Animal will take the stage Thursday when "Concerts At The Commons" continues its free September series.

Ceramic Animal merges a kaleidoscope of sounds that span glam, post-punk, psych rock, and 1970s pop, according to concert producer Joe Montone of Stage United.

The band is comprised of real-life brothers Chris (vocals, guitar), Erik (drums), and Elliott Regan (vocals, keys), alongside childhood friends Anthony Marchione (guitar) and Dallas Hosey (vocals, bass).

Following their critically acclaimed collaboration with Dan Auerbach for their fourth album, "Sweet Unknown," Ceramic Animal experienced a period of intense growth and learning.

The band will perform two sets, including cuts from their latest album "Cosmic Eraser," which stands as an evolution from their critically acclaimed "Sweet Unknown" album produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.

Working with Auerbach at the iconic Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville proved to be transformative, challenging the band to distill their sound and refine their storytelling. This collaboration was a pivotal moment, marking a shift in their creative process and approach to music-making.

"Cosmic Eraser" signifies a return to their roots, sonically revisiting the glam and psychedelic influences that initially defined them, yet infused with the maturity and depth garnered from their Nashville journey.

Presented by Stage United and Doylestown Borough, the series continues on Thursday, Sept. 17 with 19-year-old Aston native and former America's Got Talent contestant, Dylan Zangwill. He will perform an acoustic and electric set joined by special guest Johnny Zarfati.

Dylan's latest single, "World On Fire," was released in June and has been championed by 88.5 WXPN.

Folk rockers Driftwood, with special guest openers Kaitlynn Casper & the Night Bloom, take the stage on September 24, the final night of the series. The TileWorks Bluegrass series co-presents the performance ahead of its final bluegrass show of the season on Sunday, September 27.

Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chair or blanket to this pet-friendly, free concert event. Hops/Scotch will be providing beverages, with a variety of food and dessert trucks each night.

Free parking will be available at the Bucks County Parking Garage just feet away.

Bucks County-based live music nonprofit, Stage United, produces the concerts in collaboration with Doylestown Borough.
