Central Bucks School Board to Discuss Football Hazing Tonight
Last week's homecoming game was cancelled as well as Friday's game due to the hazing allegations.

The Central Bucks School Board will discuss the football hazing allegations that cancelled the season during a meeting Tuesday at the Central Bucks West High School auditorium. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
The announcement to cancel the season was made Thursday by Superintendent David Weitzel. Coaches were suspended effective immediately.
Last week’s homecoming game was cancelled as well as Friday’s game due to the allegations, which include waterboarding and teammates forcing other players to touch their genital area while clothed.

The allegations came to light on Oct. 14. An investigation began immediately, according to the district.
Weitzel said the team and its coaches were notified of the cancellation Thursday. “They must and will be held to a high standard of responsibility and accountability consistent with our rules and regulations,” Weitzel said of the coaches.

Weitzel said the allegations from the ongoing investigation show that “numerous” players were involved in the improper conduct. He also said there was a “failure of the coaching staff to properly supervise activities.”
