Doylestown gardener builds the largest seed catalog in the world, and it's free

I'm a gardener in Doylestown, and I built a free website that I think your readers would find useful heading into seed-buying season: vegetableseeds.org.

It checks prices and stock at 240+ seed and plant sellers in the US and Canada every night and puts them all in one place, making it the largest seed catalog in the world. If you want a certain tomato or pepper, you can see every company that carries it, who has it in stock, and who's cheapest. Gardeners usually juggle a dozen catalogs to do this.

It also has a last frost date lookup by ZIP code. For Doylestown, it shows tomatoes can safely go out around May 13–20.

There's no sign-up and no ads. I built it because I was tired of hunting through catalogs for my own garden, and it grew from there. I'm booked to talk about it on the Urban Farm podcast in February.

I'd be glad to talk about how it came together or show how local gardeners can use it to plan their spring planting.
