Community Mourns Couple Killed In Tuesday Crash
Ian and Jane McNeill volunteered with Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve and Bucks County Audubon Society, among other local organizations.

Solebury, PA -- The community is morning the loss of a local couple who was killed in a car accident Tuesday.
Ian McNeill, 67, and Jane McNeill, 66, died in the crash on Route 202 in Solebury Township after they were hit head-on by an SUV.
Both the McNeills were actively involved in their Bucks County community.

Ian was a longtime trustee of the Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, where he was the chair of the Native Plant Sale Committee, the preserve said in a statement sent to the New Hope Free Press.
Jane also volunteered there, serving on the Spring Wildflower Gala Committee.

“It is difficult to overstate the impact these two amazing volunteers had on the direction and daily operation of the Preserve,” Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve Executive Director Miles Arnott said in the statement.
The couple volunteered at numerous other organizations, including Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury Township, the Phillips Mill Community Association Art Exhibition and the Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow.
They were also members of the Solebury Township Historical Society and supporters of the Friends of the Delaware Canal.
“Jane and Ian both embodied the true spirit of volunteerism – giving selflessly to make the world a better place. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family during this heartbreakingly difficult time,” Arnott said.
