“We’re grateful to Bike Works for the Cranksgiving tradition and bringing community together in a meaningful way,” said Erik Clare, executive director of the Bucks County Housing Group. “It’s a great example of how a fun event can have a real impact. Every rider, donation, and bag of food helps us make sure our neighbors have food on their tables during the holiday season. We’re proud to be part of it and encourage everyone to come out and support our community.”
According to the housing group, nine percent of Bucks County residents and 16 percent of Bucks County children face daily food insecurity.
Donations will also be accepted at Bike Works Doylestown (139 S. Main St., Doylestown 18901) leading up to the ride.
On race day, Vernafern/Hopscotch restaurant will be providing prizes for “Biggest Donor” and “Best Costume.”
Backyard Beans Coffee Company (Lansdale and Ambler) will provide pre-ride coffee, and Jersey Mike’s (Doylestown) will provide a post-ride lunch for participants.
