DIY Mixed Media Art Studio Opening Friday In Wrightstown Township
The new hands-on art studio where visitors can create their own handmade mixed-media pieces will open this Friday in Wrightstown.
A new "hands-on" boutique art studio will open this Friday in Wrightstown Township.
AR Workshop, located on Second Street Pike, is a place where visitors can create their own handmade mixed-media pieces – everything from framed and plank wood signs, to canvas wall hangings, to pillows, décor and more, owner Becca Nehrbas tells Patch.
"It all takes place in guided workshop sessions that allow customers’ creative juices to flow, while still ensuring consistent, high-end results," Nehrbas said.

A grand opening celebration is planned for this Friday, Feb. 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. During the grand opening, visitors can check out the newly-remodeled workshop, and enjoy wine, food, giveaways and more.
AR Workshop is located in the Gathering at Penns Park, below the dance studio. Historic elements inside the studio make it a perfect place to get creative, Nehrbas said.

"We unveiled an incredible stone wall from the original barn dating back to the 1800s during the renovations. The space has a rustic boutique style with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels almost more like a lounge than an arts and crafts studio," she said.
The Newtown location is one of 12 AR Workshops across the country.
Nehrbas says her cousin, who opened a studio in Michigan, knows the studio's founder. Her cousin "inspired me to open my own. I’ve grown up in Bucks County my whole life and knew this area would be the perfect setting for such a unique and exciting place," she said.
The February schedule of workshops includes a framed wood sign workshop, plank wood sign workshop and canvas pillow making. Click here to view the full schedule.
No experience is necessary to attend. "We accommodate everyone from individuals and couples, to larger groups, parties and even corporate events," according to Nehrbas, who describes the studio as "charming and designed to inspire and delight."
AR Workshop is located at 2324 Second St. Pike, Wrightstown Township.
