Domestic Dispute In Warrington Ends With Jail Time For Man

WARRINGTON, PA — A 49-year-old Philadelphia man is facing simple assault and harassment charges after a dispute became physical in the area of Valley Square.

Just after noon on August 5, police were called to the area of Street and Easton roads after a passing motorist reported seeing a man grab a woman by the chin and throat during an argument.

Upon arrival, officers located the couple walking through Valley Square, where they appeared to still be engaged in an argument. The woman told police that an argument began after Joseph Linn from Philadelphia accused her of having wording on her skin that was not there.

The woman told police that Linn grabbed her by the chin and throat and continued to hold her until a passing motorist stopped and honked their horn.

The victim told police that she had asked Linn to leave her alone, but Linn continued to follow her.

Multiple witnesses provided statements that corroborated the victim's account of the incident, police said. Officers also observed red marks on both sides of the victim's neck.

Linn was placed under arrest and transported to the Warrington Police Department, where he was processed. He was arraigned by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $90,000 or 10 percent cash.

Linn was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility to await court action.
