Doylestown Acme, Employee Battle Over $4M Lotto Ticket: Report
Acme has filed a lawsuit against an employee, reportedly alleging a $4 million lottery ticket is store property.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — An Acme employee is reportedly engaged in a legal battle with the store after winning a $4 million lottery ticket.
Pipersville's Beverlie Seltzer, a 20-year veteran of the Doylestown Borough store, sold a customer $22 worth of Match 6 tickets back on March 21, Christian Menmo with The Intelligencer reports.
Seltzer gave the customer four slips of paper containing the tickets, but the man returned them because he wanted each ticket printed on its own, the report states. Seltzer then rang up the tickets for herself, which Acme alleges is against store policy.

Acme also reportedly claims in its lawsuit that tickets that are generated but not purchased by customers become property of the store, meaning they claim ownership of the $4 million.
