Doylestown Declares Winter Storm Emergency as Storm Approaches

Doylestown Borough is asking people not to park on certain posted streets Friday night, so snow plows will have an easier time getting through town.

Doylestown Borough Mayor Libby White on Friday morning declared a winter storm emergency.

The declaration means people are asked not to park on posted snow routes after 6 p.m. Friday night.

"Your cooperation will allow our plow crews to more effectively serve you," borough leaders said in a notification sent to residents on the borough's e-mail notification system.

A winter storm, which The Weather Channel has named "Nemo," is headed for the northeast Friday night.

Friday morning's forecast for the Doylestown area predicted 4 to 9 inches of snow accumulation, with most of it coming overnight Friday.

But by 3 p.m. that amount had dropped to just 2 to 4 inches of snow.

And that is down from the 6 to 12 inches predicted on Thursday.
