Doylestown Health Gets $2.5M Donation For New Heart Center
The major gift is a "transformational investment" in the future of Doylestown Hospital.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Health has received a major gift of $2.5 million from a pair of local philanthropists.
The gift from Marv and Dee Ann Woodall was called a "transformational investment" by fundraisers. The donation will name the new Woodall Center for Heart and Vascular Care at Doylestown Hospital.
"The Woodall’s support of Doylestown Health goes back decades and this gift builds on their already transformational generosity to the hospital and to our community," Jim Brexler, President and CEO of Doylestown Health said in a statement. "Their partnership and enthusiasm for innovation has helped to advance our Heart and Vascular programs to national renown."

Marv Woodall, formerly the President of Johnson and Johnson's Interventional Systems, is now retired. But during his career, helped develop balloon expandable stents.
Doylestown Health has launched a fundraising campaign in an effort to double the donation with gifts from the public.

The Woodall Center will include advanced care, routine and emergent cardiovascular treatment, and prevention services. It will encompass the Reif Heart Institute, General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
