Doylestown Police Seek Witnesses To Head-On Crash

Police in Doylestown Township are seeking witnesses to a head-on crash that left one man severely injured.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Police in Doylestown Township are seeking witnesses of a recent head-on crash that left one man severely injured.

The crash, which happened May 30 on Lower State Road, is under investigation by Doylestown Township Police and the Bucks County Crash Investigation Task Force.

According to police, the two-car crash happened on Lower State Road between Almshouse Road and Brinker Drive.

Investigators said Kirk Oschmann, 54, was driving a 1994 Dodge Dakota northbound on Lower State Road when he was struck head-on by a 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer operated by Manuel De Jesus Zamora Vasquez, 43.

Investigators determined Zamora Vasquez, who was heading southbound, crossed the center line, causing the collision.

Oschmann was extricated from his vehicle by responders from the Doylestown Fire Company. He was transported by ambulance to Doylestown Hospital before being transferred to Thomas Jefferson with severe injuries.

Zamora Vasquez was transported to Abington Hospital, where he was treated and released into police custody.

Zamora Vasquez has been charged with Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury While Not Properly Licensed, police said.
