Doylestown Student Earns Top French Score In Nation

Central Bucks West junior Ella Mullikin scored higher than all test takers from across the United States.

A student at Central Bucks West High School has earned the top ranking in the nation on an exam testing proficiency in French language and culture, according to a report by The Intelligencer.

Junior Ella Mullikin bested students from around the country in her first attempt at the test, called Le Grand Concours, the report states.

Mullikin, who plans to study molecular biology in college, studied for the test by watching French films in the weeks leading up to the exam, according to the report.

Two other students from Mullikin’s class, Abby Hadfield and Maddie Robinson, also received commendations for their scores, the report states.

All three are taught by faculty member Sarah Brookshaw.
